Call for Nominations - 2020

Dear councillors, dear members of EAPD,

In preparation of the congress in Hamburg July 2020, I need to have your proposals about nominations for the open positions in the different committees. As you know, the position is open for each active member in good standing, for maximum 6 years.

The following positions are open:

 

Elected positions for 2020

EAPD Board

President-Elect                       

EAPD Council

The following countries need to elect a new councillor that will take over after the congress in Hamburg:
Cyprus, Germany, Ireland, Poland and Slovenia. 

 

Appointed positions for 2020

COMMITTEES

There are 5 vacancies as they are presented below:

Constitution Committee:  1 position
Education Committee:  1 position
Credentials:  1 position
Clinical Affairs Committee:  3 positions

Every member can submit a nomination for all the vacant positions to the councillor of his/hers country and the councillor will bring them to the nomination committee.

 

According to the bylaws the following appointments must be taken in account:

1. Chairs of the committees, except as otherwise provided in these Bylaws, shall be recommended by the Chair of the Nomination Committee with majority approval of the Board and Council.
2. Members of all committees, except as otherwise provided in these Bylaws, shall be nominated by the Chair of the Nomination Committee with majority approval of the Board and Council.
3. The same individual may serve as chair of a given committee for a maximum of six (6) years. Service on a specific committee as a member and/or as chair shall not exceed six (6) consecutive years after which there must be a break of at least two (2) years before a member may serve on the same committee again. In exceptional circumstances the President may appoint an individual to serve for a period of time in excess of six (6) consecutive years on a committee.

The board wishes to thank the members who fulfilled a duty in the committees and hope that she still can count on your expertise. Each individual support is of extremely importance which is very appreciated. If you, as active member, feel ready to take part in one of these positions, please don’t hesitate.
