Martin Curzon Research Travel Award

Martin Curzon Research Travel Award

Martin Curzon Research Travel Award

Throughout his dental career Martin Curzon has worked with children.  Starting out providing dental care to children in remote communities in Canada and later in other posts in dental schools and research institutions. It is also not generally known that he was active in Scout associations for over 40 years.  In retirement he is still promoting the quality care of dental care for children and particularly through postgraduate education. As he has always believed  strongly in the importance of the interchange of ideas, research and clinical experience, accordingly this EAPD Travel Award has been instigated to foster such exchanges between European Paediatric Dentists.

APPLICATION FOR AWARD

Active members of EAPD who have completed their postgraduate education in Paediatric Dentistry within the last 5 years are invited to apply for the Martin Curzon Research Travel Award of up to €5,000.  This award is to support the attendance of the successful applicant at a specialist centre/unit in a different country from where the applicant graduated, for a fixed period of time for research, education or development of clinical skills in Paediatric Dentistry. The award is limited to candidates whose membership (including student membership) of EAPD has been in good standing for at least 3 consecutive years.

Members can apply for this prize at any time through the year and applications will be judged by the EAPD Board.
